short & sweet

I should have a sweater to show off soon, but meanwhile... yesterday we visited Thing Two's classroom for a "project share." For the past couple of months the kids have been working on their first project, learning about themselves and each other. (As part of this, I got to visit the class and talk about our family--fun!) Yesterday was a sort of open house for the kids' parents and siblings to come in and share in what was learned.

Artwork was all over the walls, including "mini-me's" the children had made. These are cut-outs of children, and the kids colored in their skin color and eye color, added yarn hair, and dressed themselves with fabric-scrap clothes. The children had each chosen something they liked as a clue, so their parents could try and guess which mini-me was their child. So above each one were written things such as, "I like nature. Who am I?" and "I like to watch cartoons. Who am I?" and "I like to bake cookies. Who am I?"

One said, "I love my mom. Who am I?"

That's my boy.

Beautiful! Don't you just love it when kids come out with little things like that? They sure do mean the world to us then, don't they?

He is the sweetest most adorable boy. The trick is remembering that when he tells you his bagel tastes like toast. I know; mine are related to yours.
